Self-care is imperative for us mamas to live our happiest and most fulfilling life. When you take the time to focus on YOU, you can’t help but to feel more energized and better able to take on the day.
If you’re a mama that thinks your schedule is too hectic or that you don't have the time to do something for YOU - start small. Begin by adding in one self-care practice a day. It can be as simple as setting aside 5 minutes for yourself or trying a new activity. You could simply tweak and focus more on something you already do to emphasize the feeling of self-care and relaxation.
Whatever it is, setting aside a time (on purpose) every day to do something that makes you feel good, helps your day go smoother, gives you time to relax, gather your thoughts or just breathe. It’s so worth it!
Here are some self-care ideas for you:
Have a warm cup of tea in your favorite tea cup.
Take 15 minutes to meditate, pray or just breathe before starting your day.
Add a few drops of essential oils to your shower or bath water.
Play your favorite song and sing it out loud.
Keep a daily gratitude journal.
Have a date night, with just you!
Wear your favorite clothes, even if you are staying home.
Grab lunch with a close family member or friend.
Listen to a podcast for inspiration or binge read your favorite blog .
Eat a healthy, colorful portion of seasonal vegetables.
